DRY NEEDLING

Relief from Muscle Pain. Restored Movement.

Discover how dry needling can unlock your body’s potential — no surgery, no lengthy downtime, just targeted care tailored for you.

What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a specialized therapeutic

technique that uses fine, sterile needles

(without medication) to penetrate specific

muscle or connective tissue areas to relieve pain, release tightness, and restore movement.

While it uses needles, it’s not acupuncture

— its focus is on musculoskeletal trigger

points rather than the traditional acupuncture meridians.

Why Choose Dry Needling at HealthWorks

  • We target muscle knots, trigger points, and restricted movement with precision.

  • Our approach is integrated — dry needling is used alongside other therapeutic modalities for better outcomes.

  • We prioritize your comfort and safety: the needles are new, sterile, and administered by experienced professionals.

  • Because you’re more than your pain — you are someone who deserves to move freely again.

What to Expect During Your Session

  1. Consultation & Assessment – We’ll ask about your symptoms, goals, history, and perform a brief physical assessment to identify the muscle areas and trigger points.
  2. Treatment – A fine needle is inserted into the targeted muscle or connective tissue. Many patients feel little to no pain on insertion; you may experience a brief muscle “twitch” — a good sign that we’ve hit the right spot.
  3. Aftercare & Follow-Up – Mild soreness, fatigue or slight bruising can occur after the session (typically 24-48 hours) but most people see improvement in pain and movement.
  4. Plan for Success – Dry needling works best when paired with movement exercises, stretches and manual therapy, which we’ll guide you through.

  • Neck pain, low-back pain, sciatica
  • Shoulder & arm pain, tendonitis
  • Foot/ankle pain (including plantar fasciitis)
